Blade: Trinity is the third and final installment in the original Blade film trilogy, released in 2004 and once again written and directed by David S. Goyer, who had penned the previous two entries. Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan, the film sees Wesley Snipes return as the titular daywalking vampire hunter. This time, Blade is framed for murder by a cabal of vampires led by Danica Talos, forcing him to team up with a group of rogue human vampire hunters known as the Nightstalkers, including Hannibal King and Abigail Whistler.
The film notably introduces the Marvel Comics version of Dracula, here called Drake, as the progenitor of the vampire race and the ultimate antagonist.
