Wild at Heart, known in Spanish as Corazón indomable, is a Mexican telenovela produced by Nathalie Lartilleux for Televisa that aired in 2013. It is a remake of the hugely popular 1994 telenovela Marimar, which itself was based on the radionovela La indomable. This updated version stars Ana Brenda Contreras and Daniel Arenas in the lead roles, stepping into the characters originally made famous by Thalía and Eduardo Capetillo. The story relocates the classic tale of a poor, wild young woman and a wealthy man to a ranch setting, where Maricruz Olivares lives in a humble shack with her grandfather and a deaf foundling named Solita, right on the border of the sprawling Narváez family estate.

The narrative follows the familiar beats of its predecessor, focusing on the passionate but turbulent romance between the innocent Maricruz and Octavio Narváez, a pilot who returns to his family's mortgaged ranch. Octavio initially intends to sell the land but falls in love with both the rural life and the spirited Maricruz. Their relationship is sabotaged by the antagonist, played by Elizabeth Álvarez, leading to a journey of heartbreak, transformation, and eventual revenge as Maricruz sheds her humble origins to become a sophisticated woman determined to make those who wronged her pay.

While staying true to the core melodrama that made Marimar a global phenomenon, Corazón indomable modernized the production values and pacing for a contemporary audience. The series enjoyed a successful run on Univision in the United States, where it aired weeknights replacing Corona de lágrimas, and later saw reruns on Las Estrellas in Mexico. The chemistry between Contreras and Arenas was well-received, helping the telenovela capture the spirit of the original while establishing its own identity within the canon of classic Mexican romantic dramas.
