'Good Doctor' (Korean: 굿 닥터) is a 2013 South Korean medical drama created by Park Jae-beom and broadcast on KBS2 from August to October 2013, starring Joo Won as a young surgeon on the autism spectrum who joins a prestigious paediatric surgery department. The series was developed by Park with input from medical consultants at Seoul National University Hospital and ran for twenty hour-long episodes. The format was internationally licensed: the 2017 ABC American remake 'The Good Doctor' (developed by David Shore with Freddie Highmore) ran for seven seasons through 2024; a Japanese adaptation aired on Fuji TV in 2018; and a Turkish adaptation 'Good Doctor: Bir Çocuğun Hayatını Kurtarmak' aired on Fox Turkey in 2019.
